چکیده
Abstract Dimethyl aminoethyl azide (DMAZ) is a liquid fuel in the space industry. Although this non-carcinogenic, its wastewater suffers from some hazardous pollutants, such as sodium (NaN3). A hybrid process of coagulation–flocculation and chemical reaction with nitrous acid was applied for treatment. The Taguchi method used optimization. Coagulant concentration, rapid mixing intensity, duration time, CAMP number settlement time were found to be effective parameters efficiency former process. Turbidity total suspended solids (TSS) track removal first stage. complete achieved. In latter process, NaN3 removed using acid. pH optimized controlling factor second Biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), (COD) removals 98.9, 98.2 96.3% obtained under optimum conditions, respectively. As result, reduction 91.9% turbidity, 98.5% TSS, BOD, 98.1% COD 96.7% concentration observed output wastewater.

A Strategic Mild Hybrid Technology for Reducing Pollution and Optimization of Fuel Sources
Many studies have been done on hybrid vehicles in the past few years. The full hybrid vehicles need a large number of batteries creating up to 300 (V) to meet the required voltage of electric motor. The size and weight of the batteries cause some problems. This research investigates the mild hybrid vehicle. This vehicle includes a small electric motor and a high power internal combustion engine...

A new hybrid, air-biocathode microbial fuel cell-membrane bioreactor (MFC-MBR) system was developed to achieve simultaneous wastewater treatment and ultrafiltration to produce water for direct reclamation. The combined advantages of this system were achieved by using an electrically conductive ultrafiltration membrane as both the cathode and the membrane for wastewater filtration. The MFC-MBR u...
متن کاملMicrobial fuel cells for wastewater treatment.
Microbial fuel cells (MFCs) are emerging as promising technology for the treatment of wastewaters. The potential energy conversion efficiencies are examined. The rates of energy recovery (W/m3 reactor) are reviewed and evaluated. Some recent data relating to potato-processing wastewaters and a hospital wastewater effluent are reported. Finally, a set of process configurations in which MFCs coul...
متن کاملExperimental Study on Performance of Modified Hybrid Liquid Membrane Process for Removal of Cadmium from Wastewater
Liquid membrane processes have attracted many interests in recent years for removal of heavy metals such as cadmium from industrial wastewaters. In this study, a modified hybrid liquid membrane system is introduced. The setup is worked by applying the water-insoluble dioctyl phthalate as the organic solvent. N-octanol and tetra butyl ammonium bromide are added to the organic phase to increase t...
